Is Postloop returning?

Hello everyone,

First of all, a bit about me. My name is Cedric. I've been managing communities for over two decades. My current community is called Administrata. I have always been in the admin forum niche. Helping out communities is what I like. I'm not the original owner of Postloop, but I’m bringing back a post exchange service — and yes, the name Postloop might just return with it.

I’m not doing this for a quick buck. I’ve always been passionate about helping online communities grow and thrive - that’s why I run Administrata and why I want to rebuild something like Postloop. If there's a way to make this work sustainably for both writers and site owners, I’m willing to put in the time.

So is Postloop returning? There isn't exactly a short answer yet.

Postloop was once the go-to marketplace for forums, blogs, and content creators to connect with active, quality contributors. Members earned rewards for participating in discussions, posting on blogs, and helping build thriving online communities. It was definitely a better online world then. We also remember TheForumWheel. A very similar service that bite the dust unfortunately.

We do feel there is still a need for a platform like Postloop. Maybe not exactly as it was 10 years ago, but the demand is still there. We're willing to give it another go. The new Postloop is currently under development, reimagined for a modern era of content platforms. Now, we need to be honest. A platform like Postloop is a huge undertaking development-wise. This is going to take a few weeks to even months to go from a concept to something you can use. And even after launch, the work doesn’t stop. We'll be continuously evolving to keep things running smoothly and adapt to your needs.

We’re exploring some fresh ideas. Things like a tiered writer system paired with reviews and ratings, a clean dashboard, easier payouts, and stronger quality control. The new Postloop won’t just be a revival. It would be a reinvention, shaped by what worked and what didn’t.

At the moment there is no 100% guarantee this will return. But we're looking into possibilities as we speak and if there is any progress, then we'll notify you through the Announcements forum.

This forum serves as a gateway for your thoughts and feedback on the Postloop revival. Were you disappointed when the original Postloop went offline? What do you wish had been improved? Help us shape the next version into something even better.

If you're curious to follow this project, feel free to register, join the discussion, and subscribe to the Announcements section. Even just dropping a quick hello helps us know the interest is there. :)

Much thanks,
Cedric

I am also wondering where this will go. I remember PostLoop, but I wasn't a huge user of it. Either way, good luck with it.

I am really excited to see where this goes because I know Cedric and he is definitely doing to work his butt off to make sure PostLoop is amazing and works well for both the writers and the communities. Though, I do understand if it takes a while before the forum is there because as he mentioned there is a lot of development to create a community and service like this. Either way, I'm excited for what the future holds.
