What I Look For as A Content Writer

I love contributing meaningful content to really any social platform! A lot has to do with the fact that I love learning from others. I love sharing my knowledge and seeing how it stacks up against a different perspective.

I was not part of the old Postloop (dang it!) and I am excited for what the future holds for this one.

As a content creator, I am always looking for diversity and exchange. A diverse audience, a diverse topic, etc really lends itself to discussions that are more robust. You can tell a huge difference when someone is posting just enough to stay active and when they are really present for the group.

Exchange is simply the exchange of ideas. Participation is key. When I see people reading, reacting and replying...I am absolutely ready to get back into the topic and keep it rolling forward.

Here is to the future!

Honestly, this is one of the things I really miss from the "old internet" (and now I've dated myself... well, damn). The exchange of ideas for the sake of information seeking instead of empty affirmations or engagement.

There have been claims of narcissistic traits becoming more prevalent with the rise of social media—or, at the very least,  how we engage online. Do you find this to be true? If so, how do you think it affects content quality and what can we do to engage others in meaningful conversation?

Those are exactly the qualities I would love to see on the forum I run!! My members have caught on to the type of posters who are there just to get a post count and leave and don't even respond to them anymore. I have to be very picky on who posts there, otherwise it's a waste of everyone's time.

This is what I look for as well! I wasn't part of the original Postloop either, I didn't have the funds to purchase posts for my forums. This is also why I prefer forums over any other forms of communication online, you can have more meaningful conversations on forums.
